Lighting Like A Drama Queen King
February’s meeting of GRPP will feature a familiar old face…strike that…a “familiar” face, as Pat Luke will be sharing his “MacGyver” approach to lighting both in the studio and on-location to create drama and interest in his portraits.
In the past, Pat, a Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) and the owner of Luke Photography, has shown us many of the efficient and cost-effective pieces of lighting and studio equipment he has built to solve problems he has come across. During this meeting, he will take it one step further toward insanity by showing live demonstrations of how he uses several of his favorite pieces of equipment to come up with intriguing and interesting lighting on his subjects, which include high school seniors, families and children.
You don’t need a lot of equipment…or expensive equipment…to get great results that your customers will be blown away by. You “do” need to open up your mind and really see what it is that you want to do, then determine the best way to get there. As MacGyver knows, the best way is not always the most obvious way.
